Advanced Placement International Baccalaureate Policy

SPSCC will grant college credit for Advanced Placement, Cambridge International, International Baccalaureate, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES test scores. The following college credit is for the associated test scores for official test results and not for high school transcript notations. Duplicate credit for the same subject taken on different exams will not be granted.
Advanced Placement – SPSCC will award, at a minimum, elective college credit for an AP score of 3 or higher.  Credit may be awarded for specific SPSCC courses based upon the determination of SPSCC faculty with expertise in the discipline.  Faculty will decide the appropriate AP test score and SPSCC course resulting in course equivalency.
Cambridge International – SPSCC will award, at a minimum, elective college credit for each Cambridge International Exam resulting in “A”-level accomplishment or higher. Credit may be awarded for specific SPSCC courses based upon the determination of SPSCC faculty with expertise in the discipline.  Faculty will decide the appropriate CI test score and SPSCC course resulting in course equivalency.
International Baccalaureate - SPSCC will award, at a minimum, elective college credit for an IB score of 4 on standard-level or higher-level IB exams. Credit may be awarded for specific SPSCC courses based upon the determination of SPSCC faculty with expertise in the discipline. Faculty will decide the appropriate IB test score and SPSCC course resulting in course equivalency.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES -  SPSCC will award, at a maximum, 15 restricted elective college credit for a score above the ACE recommended score (normally 50).
