South Puget Sound Community College complies with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ensures the basic civil rights of employment and access to public accommodations and services are met for the college. The ADA coordinator for the College is the Executive Human Resource Officer.
The ADA consists of five titles: Title I-Employment; Title II-Public Services; Title III-Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities; Title IV-Telecommunications; and Title V-Miscellaneous Provisions. The ADA essentially extends the nondiscrimination mandate of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to those public entities that do not receive federal financial assistance.
