To allow for the regular and timely annual update of course outlines and program planning guides in the College Catalog and other systems impacted by curricular updates.
Faculty and administrators proposing changes to course outlines and program planning guides to Instructional Council. This policy will be included in the IC Handbook.
The College adheres to the follow timeline for curricular updates:
All course, program, and degree map changes to be entered into the next academic years catalog must be approved by Instructional Council by March 1.
Therefore, all catalog-impacting course changes must be submitted to the Course Review Committee, by February 1.
This includes:
• Course title
• Course description
• Course number
• Credits
• Prerequisites
• Changes in distribution and diversity designations
• Changes in degree maps
