Foundation Agreement Policy

The South Puget Sound Community College Foundation is established under Washington Law as a not-for-profit corporation and is fiscally and organizationally separate from the College.  The Foundation shall solicit and receive private gifts, bequests and donations to benefit the College and to support the College’s mission.  Funds shall be disbursed for the encouragement and support of students, faculty, staff and administration at South Puget Sound Community College and to enhance programs and facilities.

South Puget Sound Community College and the College Foundation shall at all times hold a binding agreement related to the operation of the College Foundation, as it relates to the acquisition of resources to benefit the College in exchange for operational support provided by the College. 

The Foundation shall be governed by an un-paid volunteer Board of Directors comprising 20-30 local business and community leaders committed to the support and enhancement of the College.  The Foundation office staff shall consist of the Vice President for Advancement and other support staff as deemed necessary by Foundation operations.
