Purpose
The Conflict of Interest Statement is in place to ensure that individual members of the Board of Trustees understands what constitutes conflict of interest; that no member of the Board of Trustees achieves personal or professional gain during his/her tenure on the Board; and that individual trustees and the Board as a whole adhere to the highest ethical standards. The Conflict of Interest Statement ascertains, among other things, a trustee's and their family members' business, fiduciary, and transactional relationships and dealings; affiliation; ownership; and competition with South Puget Sound Community College.

It is the policy of South Puget Sound Community College to adhere to a clearly defined policy that prohibits conflict of interest on the part of individual members of the College's governing board, the South Puget Sound Community College District 24 Board of Trustees.
