It is the policy of South Puget Sound Community College to adhere to a clearly defined policy that prohibits conflict of interest on the part of individual members of the College's governing board, the South Puget Sound Community College District 24 Board of Trustees.

Purpose: The Conflict of Interest Statement is in place to ensure that individual members of the Board of Trustees understands what constitutes conflict of interest; that no member of the Board of Trustees achieves personal or professional gain during his/her tenure on the Board; and that individual trustees and the Board as a whole adhere to the highest ethical standards. The Conflict of Interest Statement ascertains, among other things, a trustee's and their family members' business, fiduciary, and transactional relationships and dealings; affiliation; ownership; and competition with South Puget Sound Community College.
