Plagiarism is using someone else’s words, media, creations, innovations, or ideas without specific attribution. This may be intentional or unintentional.
By submitting work for credit, the student claims the work is original unless otherwise acknowledged.
Learning to properly attribute credit for ideas is part of the educational process; therefore the college shall provide resources to students so that they will be able to avoid citation errors.
Plagiarism is a serious academic offense and may result in academic penalties or disciplinary action as outlined in the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
